It's simple. Ecovillage AR (Arkansas) is seeking new members who want to build alternative homes & practice permaculture food forests. We have a lot of materials (windows, doors, plywood, insulation, windows) & want to talk with people who are serious about building their own home & growing their own food. For the past five years my husband and I have built a large earthbag home with 2 rockets stoves, large organic garden food forest, chicken pen, aquaponics, solar energy, envirolet composting toilet, on-demand water heater...we feel a little isolated and want more families to join us. We may spend a few months in Mexico or South America so it would be beneficial for us to have more families here. We also would like to have partners in starting a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program and also a Sustainable Learning Center.
Garfield is 3 miles from beautiful Beaver Lake and 15 min. from Rogers or Bentonville, also 45 min. to Fayetteville - home of the Razorbacks. The soil is great and we grow things like crazy here. We would also like to build a greenhouse and have the panels already.
Let me know if you are ready for an adventure!

This is exactly what I am interested in. I'm not a "Rich and Successful" person, I don't have much debt but have tremendous difficulty dealing with the obscene requirements our society has in the job market. Ive sent you a facebook message. I am very much interested in learning more about your idea's and the opportunity you are offering. Please contact me asap.

This is such a shot in the dark but seeing your post is probably the closest I found in hopes to fulfill my dream home; an earthship.
Hi, I'm Jameson Bliss, I just retired the military after 20 years and am in the process of buying 3 acres that starts on a huge bluff overlooking a huge southern view. This land is in Falkner County near Greenbrier.
I'm starting to look into the possibilities to make this really happen, but am getting lost in the permits, restrictions, collection of resources, and other red tape in order to make the home of my dreams.
I would love to hear from you, your mentorship on how you made this happen and if at all possible meet and see what our version of a dream home looks like with my own eyes in this great natural state!
Will you help?
You can reach me on facebook.

Hi, I'm in Arkansas, Danville area. I'm looking to build and get more info on real earthbag conditions and characteristics. My husband and I are curious as about the summers, and winters being so humid if that effects much. Does the house stay hot during the summer? Does the house condensate in the winter/summer?

This is the closest thing I've come to on the internet for this area.

Also, to Jameson Bliss what codes are you wanting to built in?

Hello. I came across this post and would love to connect with like minded individuals. I have 2 acres in Houston Arkansas, the property currently has a tiny house and we have been looking into earthbag building vs Durospan steel Quonset. We were considering  sharing the  space with like minded folks interested in creating a functional homestead and sharing in duties. If anyone is interested or has info or are just attempting something similar please reach out.

To Lisa:

I hope I'm not too late for this opportunity, my wife and I really like Arkansas. I have 5+ years of gardening and livestock experience as well as having a library of information on many different trades that I have experience in. I currently own my own landscaping, garden, and tree service business. My wife and I desperately want to move out of the desert here in Arizona. We are pursuing a live on-site work/trade position. I specialize in low-budget survival gardening. If interested, please call/text Mark at Mowers&Growers 928-641-8565. Thank you for your time and consideration!
Regards,
Mark Steagall
