It was part of his online PDC. If you know anyone who took it, watch with them.

You can find an 18 day compost section in the Permaculture Soils DVD which you can watch here: https://www.fmtv.com/watch/permaculture-soils

You'll need to sign up but you can get a free trail which will give you enough time to watch it. I took his online PDC a couple of years back and there is nothing you'll miss from only seeing this one

It is also presented in his documentary Soils.

I just worked out some math for fun....Teaming with Microbes says it takes about 1 cm thick of compost thick to inoculate the soil with life....I have 30 hectares to regenerate. If I turned 5 piles a day in 1 cubic meter piles using Geoff's 18 day Berkley method (I used 20 days)....it would take me 16 years to cover the whole place

Obviously this isn't what I'm going to do and I've got plans that I hope will be much more effective but it will still take about 16 years to transform what I've got into what I want!

I expect Elaine Ingham would tell you to use compost tea for the large area coverage innoculant.

I haven't taken an in person PDC, but I have taken Geoffs online one. What do you think was missing from Geoff's? I'd like to know so I can look for an in person one that rounds out my knowledge.

yeah, i think what he means is that watching Geoff's 'Soils' video will give him the same information as the online PDC, he's not saying there is something missing, he's saying there is NOTHING missing.

...anyway, that's my take on what he said.

peace, Rick
