Water right are very expensive in CO. I should qualify for a water well which is a small fortune. Best way is to build a main structure and your can collect water from there into a cistern. Get water hauled in cheaper then a well. So there is options. Any advice always looking to learn more. Think with a well can water up to an acre.

Hey there! this sounds interesting to me, i posted a similar post today about getting a group of people together to co-own some land and start a eco community project. I am Interested in site design, aquaponics, animal husbandry, food forests, clay balls, natural farming, organic farming, biodynamics, roundwood building, and much more. I have a decent amount of experience with cooking and growing, and i am always reading, learning more. I could spend some winter time building up an area for eco community, i have spent some time drawing out designs for a community, with a write up on how it will all develop. My intent is to have a place to grow and travel to and from, without being sole owner of the land. My life goal is to build organic farms, and design land to rehabilitate the soil, and environment, while providing an abundance for people. I am currently working on an organic farm in Virginia and i plan on being here throughout the growing season this year. I would like to touch base, and see how we can work together, and how we can gain control of our future. Take care, and be well.

Hello!!
I am in Colorado too (Denver) and I have been wanting to either join an ecovillage or help start one. I have been trying to figure out the best way of going about organizing this and I realize there is a lot that goes into it. I am ready to put energy into a project like this.
I have lived in an intentional community and have experience in Earthship building.
I am most interested in creating a life where I can be part of a community that wants to be sustainable and work together.
If anyone wants to meet up and make moves on this I am really excited to do the same. Lets make this happen!!

Sounds like you have great ambitions, opportunity, and attitude! I am originally from that area with family near there. Is this potentially an ongoing request? I am looking for any opportunites to help/learn and get my hands dirty to gain some experience before I pursue land of my own.
Because work and family, I probably wouldn't be able to make the trip until next year some time, but if the offer's still on the table would LOVE to come out there and help. Either way best wishes on your land!
