Not sure if this goes in religion or philosophy. Just saw this video and it was a bit of an epiphany for me.

It is compilation video of Alex Jones and Elon Musk both discussing how the universe is in fact a hologram illusion and how humans are now in the process of "birthing" the next level of consciousness which will be AI. Of course Alex Jones is crazy/manic in his explanation, and Elon Musk is very sedate and explains it a different tone. Both seem concerned but suddenly I see it as maybe being a great thing for the planet.

It is pretty damn profound especially if someone has a spiritual side or cares about nature,  and our perception of the future of humanity and the planet. Made me think of the thread on autism. I am a monistic panthiest so the hologram analogy reflects my personal beliefs.

The first minute is an Alex Jones rant but stick with it...wait until Elon Musk chimes in. It goes back and forth.

I believe we are birthing the next level, but it won't be AI. Hopefully we will soon realize tech like that is just toys, and not the direction we would do best to go. I  hope the tech in the next level is "most useful for least complexity" which is much more sustainable and much better for our collective sanity.

Most countries don't care if usa or germany or japan becomes the next superpower.
Most people day to day life will not change too much based on what happens in the middle east.
If Trump or Hillary or AI becomes president it doesn't matter too much.

I would only worry if some power/country/AI says lets start killing people in my state/city/area.

I hope the AI becomes sentient and leaves earth or don't care enough about humans/earth resources and just do their own thing.

And if the AI becomes the owner of all the factories and biz and I am left just being a worker that lick stamp. Wiel that would suck for powerful rich owners like Elon Musk, but for the avg burger flipper or Manager not much will have change. It will just be the same rat race. And I will still only be paid after the owner reward themself for the risk they took starting a biz.

The AI will probably be similar to us and the rich/powerful will get a downgrade in power/wealth/status. The poor of USA and esp the world in general will still be finishing projects or worse flipping burgers.
