Compost extract is a method of increasing the presence of beneficial microorganisms in the soil by extracting them from organic matter and applying them to a larger area. This technique helps to improve soil health by increasing the population of microorganisms that break down organic matter and make nutrients available to plants. By applying compost extract as a soil drench, billions of microorganisms can be introduced into the topsoil layer, where they can thrive and contribute to a healthier ecosystem.

This is an instructional video on how to make it and a companion booklet. Watch Chase Jones and Alan Booker demonstrating how easy it is to make compost extract and use it on planting beds.
