Our spam crushing system has improved dramatically. But it's also very hard for it to tell if someone is simply offering to embiggen genitals or if someone is really excited about the garden thing they are selling and they start 11 neigh identical threads promoting it with out bothering to check out how things work here first.

Respectful self promotion is about working with the community. That gets much better results than drive by spamming.
