Small Bee Like Insects All Over the Chamomile

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
There are these small bee like insects that look a bit like fly's that are hovering over the chamomile. There are around 20 on one plant at a time. They look like they are pollinating the flowers. Maybe they are disguising as bees to protect themselves but I am not sure. So does anybody know or seen these fly,bee type of insect? I am really interested to find out what they are.

I have hover flies all over the place in my yard that sound like they match that description. They are beneficial instects that not only do light polinization... but their larve(usually out of sight) are basically little maggots that have a horn on them. They inchworm around on your plants and look for soft bodied insects like aphids. They then stab the aphids with their horn... rip them off of the plant... suck them dry... and begin the cycle over again. Err... at least that is what I found on the internet a long time ago when I did a search. Here is a link...
