I found these mushrooms on a rotting log in the woods in Maine. My first thought was Streaked Coincap, but the spore print was dark brown or black. Does anyone know what these are?

Okay, I think its one of these three species:
-Psathyrella Pseudovernalis
-Parasola Conopilus
-Psathyrella Cystidiosa

I think the safest way to ID is on a site that's really dedicated to mushroom ID. We have a lot of beginners and people interested in learning about using very common mushrooms for cultivation, but we aren't actually very equipped for mushroom ID, which is pretty serious business.
www.rogersmushrooms.com
www.mushroomexpert.com
and some of the facebook sites are much better and safer places to go, in my opinion.

What I think people really do well here is talk about use of mycelium and mushrooms, how to cultivate a common species, what climate it does well in, how to use in it your food forest, etc, how it can benefit us and nature.

My two cents.
