I am wondering if one were to remove the membrans before baking or after baking them if the crushed eggshell could be used as a finger aggregate for sandblasting small items like old tractor seats. Outdoors or in a well ventilated area while using a sand blasting box and proper protective equipment of course??? Has anyone tried that? I would like to now how they compare to sand, pecan shells, baking soda and that sort of thing. It would help to know. Thanks a bunch. Be blessed,

Haven't posted in a minute, but have you experimented with linseed oil, or would that spread to much into the rest of that work? Haven't tried it myself yet, just came to mind. Forgive me I read farther back and see you did. Another alternative  might be coconut oil, but in my experiments with making makeup it removes makeup rather quickly so coconut might not be great, or it may. Haven't seen it used with pigments yet.would test it on a scrap canvas with various pigments and mediums first and see what the effect is first perhaps.

I like the ribbons for increased visibility.
In Tennessee we had many groundhogs deers and raccoons eating our melons. The only cantaloupe we were able to save ironicly happened to be on the part of the vine that was growing through the  closed racoon trap cage.

My friend looked into longevity spinach and moringa. She had positive effects with both. More so longevity spinach was her go to before her pharmacist reduced her medications and shots altogether. May not be for everyone's  situation.  She did very well with it after doing some solid research on her own while working with her pharmacist. Further she stopped partaking of artificial sweeteners and anything that said sugar free on the label. It may be worth researching for  oneself before making a more informed decision than what I can express this moment.  Whatever your experience and perspectives,  you are worth sharing those so that others may consider how they may have options to look into as well. Can add two slices bred cubed(with or without the crust) to 1 pound ground meat, mix by hand with an egg and spices to make patties. Cookover medium low  heat  in a little oil or ingredients on both sides. Add just enough water to cover the base of the skillet. Cover with a lid cooking until done to your liking. Shut off heat and let rest for 5 minutes to absorb moisture and serve warm with a side or as a meatloaf burger.
Note can add chopped bacon fat if a dry meat like deer or Buffalo. Enjoy

Having a strong aversion to wet socks, and having a friend who was looking for any way to slow or divert the flow of water away from his front door and away from his dog kennel...,
I encouraged my friend to put a couple of 5- or 6-inch-wide mini swales on his property on the contour of the rise of his property about halfway up the rise. The result was he has much less issue with the runoff of the rainwater.
As am not sure of the detail of your design but if you have to deal with wet socks, it may be a partial solution for you.
A shade cloth has mildly helped with both the shade loving plants here, and with light rains we are able to stand under the one that runs awning to anchored porch rail.

Ellen, I would be curious if the vines or vine bark sheath may be used to make paper fashioned after the paper made from cloth or from mulberry inner bark?
Just a passing thought. If you cut the vine, does it form a type of pectin or gel on the cut edge to heal itself such as some of the other types of wild grape vines?

I honestly don't know yet and may have to try it myself.
Now where did I place those home depot style limestone rocks I pulled from the garden path or were they walmart style?
Or perhaps crushed shells or diatomacious earth such that the romans used to use for forming the mixture of concrete?

I suppose your 'Gesso' is as good as mine. lol I hope it works.

I have been reading some of this post and decided to reply before reading further lest I forget to reply.
Supposing one was to grind the limestone in a mortar and pestle if possible or a roller mill...,
and then that person was to take all that ground up rock and dust and wash it such as those who make their own clay by settling silt from the upper portion of the water...
And then let the water evaporate in the sun thus leaving the fine powder form as a "cake",
Do you suppose that fine powder or "cake" could then be milled or mortared again (once dry of course)?
Would that meet the level of fineness or microns you could use in your medium? Or might it be too fine?
I have not tried this yet. If you or others may attempt to do so, please share with us all both your successes and failures.

Wolf Urine maybe practical for your deer issue. A little goes a long way so one may wish to only order a very small amount. If you have dogs it may not be the best option. If cost of electric fence and size is a matter, Geoff Lawton has a great video about using a single strand fence that seems to be working quite well for many I will post the link below.
