I recently learned that an ex employee of mine had her foot amputated due to gangrene as a result of diabetes. She is in her 40s.

That is sad.  Which kind of diabetes did she have?

I feel diabetes can be prevented by eating low carb.

I don't know about childhood diabetes.

Type 2 diabetes is pretty complex as to its origins.  Sorta like alcoholism in that many factors are in play. Successfully treating alcoholism is not simply not drinking , and successfully treating diabetes  is not only about carbs. But  carbs are a major factor in diabetes, just as not drinking is in alcoholism.  But so is genetics for diabetes. Exercise is a major factor.  There appears to be an unknown factor that impacts both obesity and diabetes. There are also physiological issues….as in how your body is assembled.

Maybe 15 years ago I had lunch 1:1 with Dr. Peter Jannetta in Pittsburgh he had a 30% cure.  ….yes cure …rate of Type 2 Diabetes through surgery.   The percentage is not so high as to be a cause for celebration, but it is high enough that it can’t be ignored.  Now, I suspect just about every source you can find on the net will tell you diabetes cannot be cured.

Dr. Jennetta found that in doing surgery for Trigeminal Neuralgia that some of his patients with diabetes would be cured. The surgery consists of moving the placement of nerves in the brain.

Update:  I don’t mean to imply that the same procedure for Trigeminal Neuralgia worked for diabetes. But a similar decompression approach worked.

My friend looked into longevity spinach and moringa. She had positive effects with both. More so longevity spinach was her go to before her pharmacist reduced her medications and shots altogether. May not be for everyone's  situation.  She did very well with it after doing some solid research on her own while working with her pharmacist. Further she stopped partaking of artificial sweeteners and anything that said sugar free on the label. It may be worth researching for  oneself before making a more informed decision than what I can express this moment.  Whatever your experience and perspectives,  you are worth sharing those so that others may consider how they may have options to look into as well. Thank you for what you bless us with in that regard. May you find your paths with grace and good health to you.

I just heard, two hours ago, from someone whose doctor says her diabetes is likely caused by a parasitic amoeba in her pancreas. This amoeba is known to eventually destroy the whole organ, yikes! She has done a parasite detox and will see if she can stay off insulin now.  I hope so!
