The following books report life saving reactions based on the eyes and ears and the "perk up" of horses, mules and donkeys to the presents of Indian Attack .. Charles Goodnight cattle drives into New Mexico .. Broken Hand - Hafen Mountain Men .. My Life on the Plains - Custer; Black Range Tales - McKenna; Tales from the Bloated Goat - Hoover; No Life for a Lady - Morley; Pioneer Women - Stratton, A thousand miles of Mustanging - Green.

When working or feeding .. anytime you are out .. pay attention to the "gaze" of any of your animals .. they can see, hear and smell  much better than humans.

Just found this looking for something else ..

# Serotonin is a monoamine neurotransmitter. Most is produced by and found in the intestine (approximately 90%), and the remainder in central nervous system neurons. It functions to regulate appetite, sleep, memory and learning, temperature, mood, behaviour, muscle contraction, and function of the cardiovascular system and endocrine system. It is speculated to have a role in depression, as some depressed patients are seen to have lower concentrations of metabolites of serotonin in their cerebrospinal fluid and brain tissue.[5]

Of all things .. "old truck driver trick" .. after showering spray off with water with 3% shot of Hydrogen Peroxide .. I have used it for years now .. less BO when I use to drive long hauls .. even in birds nests .. and a tightness and sheen and no infections .. does Hydrogen Peroxide and ash water share something?

I use it on kickers .. horses feet .. put spray bottle on stream and stand back .. stops bleeding, disinfects, painless even for children (I get them in a corner also - one Grand kid now at Marine Boot Camp - PPFH), promotes healing.

My Grand Daughter just told me what the coffee clutch in N.Carolina Navy wives just noticed. All the men on the hanger deck .. USS Truman Nuclear propulsion, Nuclear waste in the shells, Nuclear bombs etc.

Either are not having children, high rate of deformed children .. and all girls.

Idaho State U. research of asbestos from Libby, Montana mine .. high incident of R. Arthritis and Lupus .. possible more ailments to come .. watch your potting soil for you and your kids.

What has your coffee clutch noticed? My son in laws brother in Iraq .. Sargent in the Marines heavy equipment .. over coffee they were B.S. about all the deaths of new recruits driving Humvees and get in their first fire fight and wreck it and kill everyone aboard. He jumps on his D-8 Cat and makes a mogul area and all new recruits have to drive it and learn what the vehicles can take at different speeds and different angles .. deaths drop 90% over a cup of coffee.

I noticed it for several weeks and finally .. last night it came to me. Check and see how dirty it has gotten under there!

The entire front was clogged and vacuuming from the front wasn't working .. a bar trapped stuff in there .. I had to drop the front and get behind it to get a load out.

Now, it can breathe.

Took the back panel off also where the fan runs to blow air out .. that was partially blocked in the slits in the backing that were too small .. the big ones were not blocked .. so, I took my box cutter and just cut an entire row of small slits out and cleaned under the refrig where it sat .. it is running much less now and will last longer if the compressor hours are kept down.

Stuff you know but it does not come up often enough to stay in mind. I didn't know my front vacuuming was being blocked either.

As the corn belt moves into GMO's .. did you hear what happened to the crop last year in the record lows .. got a deadly mold and went solid and was about impossible to get out of the elevators.

A lot of colic in grain could be the change in humidity with winter or just not letting the crop get dry enough before cutting .. rain .. more rain coming .. get it out of the field and who cares.

Then there are the millers who steam and roll .. and they are not too careful how they accomplish this task either. Get it too wet and say .. "I thought everyone knew to feed rolled feed within two weeks?" I stood on the feed dock and was talking to a rancher out of Upper NV and he was making his once a year truck load purchase. I can guarantee he didn't know any of this .. and was not told either by the employee on the dock.

My four horses got straw before a big storm. One had to start eating it all the time. He got sick and the other three did not. Loafing around and either chewing of the wood they can find .. cribbing .. or eating straw someone just dirtied .. month old Kid Goats do the same as they are switching from one stomach to two .. get crap in there and bloat. I fight that with ginseng and yarrow and if they can't breath .. smoke them up with some burning  myrrh and that will cause them to breathe much nicer. Everyone use to use it.

Burrah .. I'm studying too much Hebrew .. adding h'es to every thing .. putting jots and tiddles under American words so I don't have to write so much .. I've got to slow down .. count the bomb drops .. the Jets are busy over Mountain Home Bombing range today .. dropping groups of fours .. some days I can hear them over the diesel tractor in the fields.

But, I had my one cup of coffee at 4:00 AM  this morning .. when thangs were quieter.

Your from PA .. I really like my Griswold skillets .. so nice and light weight .. they are anywhere from 150 to 70 years old .. do they still occasionally find the old iron nodules any more. That was some "mean" iron.

What are the roof angles where you live? We are talking a metal roof also, not asphalt or wooden shingles. One sheet .. its up there and then it isn't.

We are 3 to 1 and it comes off in the blink of an eye. It covered about three feet on the ground and was 12 foot long on the roof. It started hitting the ground about five feet out from the house. It would be like a 120 pound .. three foot long dog ..  jumping on your back .. with an awful cold nose.
