Replacing metal rocket- with ceramic rocket stove using fire bricks in our dryer / biochar oven

We were tasked with creating a dryer oven using rocket stoves. Our first prototype was metal and although extremely durable and temperatures never exceeded 450°F we have now insulated our dryer and it also serves as the pyrolyser and temperatures are now around 1200°F:

The diameter of the kilns have been increased from 1.4 metre to 1.7 metre:

The solution was to use excess fire bricks and bury the rockets around the perimeter:

The next step is to see the effect on drying and how it can be incorporated in the making of the biochar.

heating wood in an oxygen free environment isn't always going to be easy.

Too bad you couldn't make some sort of pressure cooker and convert it from inside the cooker.
