Hi All;
I have had ample time now observing the bunny's from up the hill.
In my opinion,   not all bunny's are created equal!
Peter rabbit, the first bunny to move down, was friendly and very observant. Bugsy rabbit is just a dumb ass. I am amazed he has survived in the wild this long.

Peter was never more than 10' from good cover. Bugsy sits in the middle of huge open areas (including the county road) no cover, not even a bush for 100's of feet ?
Pouring down rain the other day , really hard pouring rain and there was  Bugsy, just sitting there, 5' away from a nice cedar tree, 3' from a nice parked car ... in the pouring rain... dumb ass..
If you tossed a carrot to Peter it was gone, he might drop it if the dog comes over but ALWAYS  came back later. I've tried time and time again with Bugsy, its like he doesn't even see them ?  He's not blind... ??? I've even bounced carrots off his side... he jumps then just sits there ? If you leave, thinking well he's scared, so I'll leave and then he'll eat … Nope ???

We have come to the conclusion that Peter rabbit just couldn't stand being around such a poor example of rabbit hood!  We are sure he moved down the mountain just to get away from the "dumb ass" bunny.
So what happens ?   Bugsy follows Peter down to our house!   This explains why my happy shop bunny moved out  so fast!  Had nothing to do with the Purina rabbit chow or rather the lack of... It was the Dumb ass bunny !!!  Peter even came back that one time , but Bugsy was still here so he split for good.

Alas poor Peter, I don't think I'll see you again...

The bunnies around my place have terrible vision. I'll throw them a scrap of something and sometimes they'll walk over it and have to backtrack and sniff around in order to find it. I think bunnies in general are listeners (judging by the size of their ears.) Still, I am constantly amazed by how blind they seem to be, how funny. I'll try and get some current pics up of my bunny clan -there are 5 adults now but I am sure there will be a batch of little ones here soon.

I like you because you always keep good, crunchy cereal in your pantry. This tiny ad agrees:
