I don't have any livestock currently, but what I did for my dogs and cats is get a book on natural care, then got an old edition of a veterinary manual. It works pretty well, but only if you have an idea of what the animal could have origionally. It sounds like you might be looking for more of a diagnoses tool/guide? Either way, I would check out Amazon for old veterinary textbooks.
This is the same sort of thing I got for my dogs and cats, it goes over all different medicine and treatments:
Merick farm animal guide Its $48ish bought new, not bad for a textbook.
I can't find any general farm animal diagnoses book, there is this one about 'Clinical Examinations' available new from about $20.
Clinical examinations
Oh geez, I get an F for reading comprehension in this matter. Looks like you might want more of a First aid type book. When I get home I can post some pictures of the vet manual I have as an example. It's not something you'd want to try and decipher in an emergency, but if you have an idea of what is going on, then it's not bad.
ETA: They also have veterinary guides for owners, which seems to cover most of what you want,
