bees in the basement that need containment

Hey all been a long time.

My uncle has bees in his basement, and they are conveniently staying between two 2x4 studs behind a layer of transparent plastic sheeting.

It's almost cold out, once it is what's the best way to transport them (2hr drive)

Should I just stick them in a beehive (that I don't have yet) and hope for the best?

Seems like I should take them so they don't get exterminated.

Any thoughts or ideas would help

might need to do a cutout or trap out. cold weather is not the best time for either.

My thoughts go along with Tel's. To box them for transport I'd build a swarm box.
