Happy national cat day! It's today, October 29th, which also happens to be national oatmeal day and national hermit day. I don't care for oatmeal but could be persuaded if it was swimming in maple syrup; also, not having to interact with any people beyond my neighbors sure does have a certain appeal.

Well I saved my cat from almost certain death, does that count as celebrating World Cat Day?

Our cat is not very bright...in fact I think our goldfish is smarter.

Our cat also happens to be in heat and gets very snuggly during these times.

We also have our retired LGD inside now who is highly intelligent, but does not appreciate dumb animals...in particular our cat. Keep in mind this is a LGD that took on two coyotes, 2 fox, and an Eagle swooping down to grab a lamb...and came out on top. In one bite she could devour said kitten, yet the cat insists on snuggling up to the dog who growls, snarls and snaps at the cat.

Our cat does not have 9 lives, it has 99, and just yesterday I think I watched her go through 98 of them.

She is a pretty cat, but that is about all she has going for her.
