Hi Folks,

I'm working up a little kickstarter for drinking water treatment following up on some work I did as an environmental consultant, and for my own water for dissolved iron and for a relative for arsenic.  It's a citizen science project and requires the active participation of at least three parties: one for nitrate (using sulfur oxidation); one for some dissolved metals like iron, hexavalent chromium, or dissolved uranium (a problem up here in the Pacific Northwest); and finally one for arsenic.  I made a couple of videos late last winter but then spring happened and it was back to building up the homestead.  But now winter is almost here and once snow stays on the ground I'll finish off the text.  This isn't a commercial product or anything, just a test to see if the basic technology works well enough and is safe enough to put out into the world - my little contribution!

But since you folks are sort of the target audience I thought I'd get a little feedback and maybe change parts or my approach before I embarrass myself with something either too technical (Ihave a Ph.D and it is an occupational hazard), or incomprehensible.  So please take a look at the introduction video and a few narrated slideshows on youtube and let me know what you think.

Sulfur reduction (iron, chromium, or uranium):  https://youtu.be/23dzlfAfZmI

Sulfur disproportionation (arsenic or selenium):  https://youtu.be/zSkK6JwoY50

Thanks!

Robert
