HOW TO USE LIME ON LAWN

I HAVE SOD THATS A YEAR OLD.LAST YEAR MY LAWN WAS GREENER THAN GREEN.
I DID THE SCOTT'S PROGRAM,THIS YEAR I STARTED OUT WITH SCOTT'S,BUT TO NO AVAIL.MY LAW IS GREEN,BUT BROWN IN SOME SPOTS.THE TOP OF MY GRASS BLADES ARE GREEN WHEN I HAVEN'T CUT,BUT AFTER I CUT THE GRASS APPEARS BROWNER IN SPOTS. I FERTILIZED ABOUT THREE WEEKS AGO AND IT HASN'T HELPED. I WAS WONDERING WOULD LIME BE HARMFUL AT THIS POINT? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

I think you might want to have your soil pH tested before you just start dumping more stuff (like lime) on your grass.

By the way, when you type in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS, it is the internet equivalent of shouting. I recommend that you stop using all caps. I've seen some people (not here) get really upset about it.

anyone who I may have offended. I'm new to this, and always open for any helpful

How do I go about having my lawns pH tested? I do not know where to go or who to call.
And if by chance the pH is low,will the lime be harmful with me fertilizing not to long
ago?

Look under the blue pages of your phone book for county extension office.  Call and ask to talk to a master gardener or the extension agent.  You will then be talking to somebody that will be happy to let you know how folks in your area get their pH tested!
