Greetings my name is Matt.
Ive been studying Permaculture and sustainable resilient food systems for many years.
I took my first PDC, Eco village design course at Breitenbush Hot Springs community in 2013.
I assisted a new budding local community called Atlan during those years.
3 years ago I bought a modest home in town that I rent and live in the lower apartment. I converted the front yard into a intensive garden that feeds 8-10 families.
My next project is a 2 acre neighboring abandon pear orchard covered in blackberry vines.
I have many hobbies including Martial arts, physical fitness, Emergency Preparedness, HAM radio, hunting and wild crafting. I'm a new and busy member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I serve as a local leader of my Priesthood Quorum. In the past Ive studied Thai Buddhism, and Desikachar Yoga.

Welcome to Permies, Matt!

It’s really a good place to be, lots to learn and a very good place to share your own experiences.

I’m in PNW too, and it’s a beautiful spring where I am.

Thanks for the welcome! Its great weather here too. I have lots of winter greens and some seed sprouting already.

Popeye has his spinach. I have this tiny ad:
the permaculture bootcamp in winter (plus half-assed holidays)
