www.smallfarmcourses.com is offering a free course using the code covid19. You can sign up for only two courses and they expire in April, so if your stuck home get to studying! This is a free trial they are offering due to the shelter in place orders for covid. They offer a lot of different and interesting courses, it was tough to choose just two!
I've signed up for beekeeping and mushroom farming. I'm also happy to say the oysters I'm growing at home have started pinning but am disappointed to have not found any morels while foraging. As for bees I've been considering disassembling a pallet and building a swarmbox, in the meanwhile I've been leaving out sugar water that is barely being frequented by bees anymore. I've also decided to let a couple plants bolt and stay in my garden just for the bees to enjoy. Right now the brussles sprouts and broccoli are not producing any more food and bolting already!

Looks like the offer is over:

Please note that our solidarity offer for free access to two online courses ended on Friday, March 27, at 12 p.m. EDT and will not be extended.

There is a lot of free courses online still available, for example Cornell.

Oops, I'm sorry. I signed up just before it closed I guess. I hadn't logged onto Permies till today so I didn't check to see if it worked before posting.

Roses are red, violets are blue. Some poems rhyme and some don't. And some poems are a tiny ad.
