Are you planting some of your trees with an eye toward coppicing? That would be a way of getting more carbon into that soil over time.
I had to google coppicing so no, that wasnt my plan, at this point just getting in the ground what I think Id like to see, learning and enjoying myself. Its anyones guess what this might turn into.
Id much rather have all this sand than rocky terrain, Im sure this sand has got to be easier to work with and correct.
Im in close contact with the
local extension services, they offer many programs online for free that I am taking advantage of, they also have an interest in small scale farming for a
profit in which I am gonna learn more about.
They are actually coming out to my property next fri to look around and give me recommendations on what I could be doing to improve conditions and advise me on any questions I have that directly relate to the property and are tough to describe online.
