Here's a trick (just in case anyone ever needs it) for embedding youtube shorts.

Take a normal youtube url, like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMIoNst9IBs

Then look at your short youtube url, and cut out the video ID, so from https://youtube.com/shorts/ZlMyZZ-mFfI , we copy the ZlMyZZ-mFfI.

Then paste that information into the normal youtube url. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlMyZZ-mFfI Wa-la! Now you have a normal youtube video link that can be embedded here on permies!

If you're not sure how to embed here on permies, you'll want to use the   tags, like this . More info on how to use formatting tags on permies can be found here

(Additionally, this also works if you hate the different viewing experience of youtube shorts--now you can watch shorts just like the longer youtube videos! The link will work if you paste it into a tab and will give you a traditional viewing experience for the short)

Cool and thanks!

I just started making shorts for my channel and was trying to figure this out the other day.

Here is my Dogs and Chickens can get along short to see if it works:

Doing something similar here. I'm simply erasing manually and modyfing part of the link.

going from:
