Hello Permies,

In 2010 chickens were raised. Their poop composted through the winter.
In 2011 the mass was added to a couple garden beds. The soil there was destroyed, not much grew, black sandy mess.

Today I mixed in a large amount of good soil and my best green manure compost.
Anything else that I could have done (or possibly still can) to help neutralize?
I'm hoping the place will grow decent tomatoes.

thanks,
Tom.

Hard to say but it would be easy enough to take some soil samples to the local extension agent and see what you need to add there.
