I've thought about buying a wood cabin unfinished. One of those prefab shed/cabin structures that are cheap. What i am
wondering is, can I insulate the outside walls with slipstraw/ light straw clay method? Does the slipstraw have to be open to air
on the outer wall for it to cure correctly? I've never been able to find anything on that topic. I have seen some people do
it on youtube in old houses, but they didn't post any long term result updates. Has anyone done this with success on this forum..or can give a person a reasons why it's a bad idea. Thanks in advance!

You would need to be careful so it didn't mold.  Cool and low humidity, run the woodstove with all the windows open, etc.

I'm not sure what the r value per inch really is, you might need thicker walls which makes for a smaller cabin.  Tradeoffs.
