Doing some brainstorming, and had an idea I thought i'd run by yall.
How well do you think it would work out to have a greywater focal point that branched out to two or three compost piles? Obviously the safety would depend on what was mixed in the water to begin with.
Or maybe straight to a solar still? That way, theoretically, any nasty stuff would be trapped and separated from the water.
I guess it depends what temp you have. It's my understanding that compost is a goldilocks, not too wet, not too dry, but just right. Certainly in a hot dry place like Texas this might be fine.
yep, east Texas to be exact. I was kinda envisioning a two way system, whereby in late spring / summer (dry season) I wouldnt have to add water to the compost, and the other two seasons I could possibly distill and save the water for other, finer purposes. It is my ( albeit limited ) understanding that the distillation process removes 100% of impurities from the water.
