What do you think about the pruning of these trees?

i have just seen this picture of an orchard for sale while browsing for land.

What do you think of the pruning of the trees? They seem to generally have only 3-4 main branches.

Would you prune your nectarines in your regular layererd food forrest in this way?
Why? Why not?

the ‘open vase’ pruning like that is good for air and sunlight getting to fruit. that definitely helps in fungus-problem-prone trees like nectarines. if that pruning made the difference between getting much more of my crop and not, i’d probably do it.

in nectarines, more red blush like you get on the sun-kissed parts probably improves their marketability, too.
