Help needed and also information building earthbag homes in Adrian GA it's my first time. I'm seeking individuals with or without experience to help build earthbag homes on my property. Also seeking experienced or knowledgeable individuals that could guide me in the process.

Volunteers or paid labour?
What facilities do you have
What accommodation can you offer.

Paid or volunteer is welcomed.
I have tents, portable toilets, portable showers, and portable stoves. I can provide food and drinks.
I just purchased the land.

- buying a book on the subject
- purchasing the earth bags
- plan something small but eventually useful
- maybe get the foundations in first and then seek assistance.

I've been exploring, researching, and watching builds about earthbag houses for 6 years now. I'm also reading a book. I finally have the land to build it. I just want to make sure it's being done correctly.

I'm sorry, I was going to have all of the supplies and foundations before I required help, I should have said that and worded it differently. Was seeing if there were anyone interested.

Sometimes is good to leave things up so others can see the mistake of clarity in your wording.
Its only when the conversation between is read by others that people will realise how it can be done differently.

I would continue here until you do create another page and then link them to enable a transfer of those still interested.
I would encourge having faith in your own research, otherwise you may never start!

There is a youtube channel called "mylittlehouse" where a family builds several earth/dirt bag structures, I have found it immensely informative. It's actually been out there for years. You may find it useful if you've not seen it already.

I'd like to echo the two bottom ones especially. I've built some retaining walls, garden walls, and took a multi day course at calearth. Even with that, I'm still building a small shed-dome for tools before I do anything bigger. It's not that it's all that hard to do, but there are a lot of little things that you really need to learn-by-doing. It's like becoming a good barber or painter, most of the progress you make is by actually doing it. Reading and theory will only get you so far.

Putting foundations in is a process in and of itself. You'll be trenching in utilities, excavating, (probably) filling in with gravel, handling drainage, and putting in vapor barriers and sand. The foundations alone can take a qualified person several days if they have the equipment and the gravel shows up on time.

If you can get out to calearth's 4 day class I'd really recommend it. It doesn't go into super detail, but sufficient for you to know everything on your plate and options on how you can tackle it. There's a country mile of difference between building a "structure" and building a "home".
