Hello! I've found for free a 1000lt metal tank used for propane, I want to chop it on the long side and make a hole on the bottom to load water. A guy said me to cut it at 3/4 of the height (diameter). What would you think about?

Thank you!
f.

Fabio, I don't quite understand what you want to do with this tank. Do you plan to burn biomass and make biochar inside it? Or do you want to use it as a water tank?

Hello!
Cut and use the metal tank to produce biochar. Yesterday i've measured the diameter, it's about 100cm in diameter and 320cm in circumference. I've planned to chop an arc of about 75cm on the circumference, along the side of the tank (the shape is like a medical "pill) 🤞

Thank you,
F.
