Hi, I'm in 7b, Atlanta, GA. It's ok during the day right now, but at night it gets to 29 some nights. I'd be safe to plant them in the day, but I wish I had a stretch of nights that were in the 40s or 50s. I'm afraid my heeling in isn't right, and while the trees are brittle or anything, I am afraid if I don't plant them they'll die. I'm afraid if I do plant them, while the nights are cold, they'll die. Leave them heeled in? Plant?
They are chickasaw plum, fuyu asian pear, stella cherry, persimmon, and a few apples. They are 3/4" on some, but some are smaller, maybe 1/4". A couple of them are an 1" at the union. I have 10 trees and they cost a lot of money. Any advice is appreciated.
I was going to rent or buy an auger for planting, but maybe I should wait?
Thank you for any advice.
