I'm looking for info on completely waterproof cob for sinks and tubs.

Also, can anyone ID these images? (all I have is an image) Where are they from?

Both seem to have cob plastered in areas that would (hopefully!) hold water.

Very curious. Any takers?

The first is from an Earthship. I don't recognize it as being from one of the three books, but I could have missed it.

The second one I haven't seen before.

There are ways to waterproof cob - it is done the same way cement is with additives.
Also look into Earth cement, but I don't have the link just now.

I have heard something about adding gypsum to earth plasters, but i think that's only water-resistant.

Save the pictures and drag them in to Google search by image. Lots of possibilities come back.

In Google click "images" a camera icon appears... drag the saved picture in to the rectangle. And there you go.

I have read something somewhere (long lost to bad memory)

They built their cob sink with broken tile mosaic grouted with regular grout and high-end eco-friendly(ish) grout sealer.

I know I have seen that sink too, but not sure where, I would try hereFirst Earth Site
