I was wondering if anyone had any experience using papercrete as insulation?

No way the paper would survive the heat, or the concrete for that matter. I have heard of using sawdust and clay--the sawdust burns out and leaves an aerated low-fired clay that is highly insulative. I suppose a papercob would do the same.

I'm very tempted to try with papercrete.. I've used papercrete to insulate my walls, so I think I'll try, even just to se how it works out. I'll add some perlite in the mix, but that thing is expencive here.. And then chicken wire to keep it together...
