Hi, I thought I read a post on Softstar /barefoot shoes, but I didn't find it with the search engine.

I'm new and wondering if anyone else can share other similar shoes they've purchased in the past or currently keeping an eye on.

Thank you!

I suspect this was the thread you remembered.  There's a lot of discussion that includes alternatives to barefoot.  Joseph's "barefoot sandals" for the shoe police always makes me smile.

Hello and welcome to Permies!

There's a bit of discussion about minimalist shoes in various threads, particularly in our Ergonomics forum. See these threads for example:

soft soled shoes and the argument for being barefoot
A discussion about barefoot living

I'm going in the other direction at the moment, since I'm expecting my first pair of wooden soled clogs anytime soon....
