Hey all

I'm Philip - French born and raised - PDC+ certified from Kibbutz Lotan (in Israel desert)

These last couple of years I've been more and more attracted by Mexico and I'm planning to spend a few (4- weeks exploring in November/December

My wet dream is to establish / cooperate in a Permaculture orientated project including forest garden / rehabilitating soils / resilient community.
My preference goes to coastal - not too far from water - regions.

Any information / feedback / do's and don't - very very welcomed

Hope to hear from you guys here!

P

Welcome to the forum, Phillip!

Mexico is a charming and romantic choice.

East coast or west coast?

Hi Anne

Thanks for your message.

I didn't make a choice yet between East and West coast.
From early readings, it appears that the choice is hard...

Baja? Pacific coast? (i'm not a surfer) Caribean coast?

I'm single so social life at a decent driving distance is a must have

Your thoughts?

Hi Philip

There are lots of projects to collaborate in to get a feel for the lay of the land. There's a fairly active facebook group on Permacultura en Mexico. That's a good place to start.

Hey there! Have you made it to mexico yet? I have recently purchased land near Huatulco, Oaxaca and am planning a small sustainable homestead and community space. If you get to this area, you are more than welcome to come camp out and share ideas! Land borders a very amazing river!
