Does anyone have any ideas about whether the draft would be increased in a rocket mass stove by insulating the exhaust pipe after it leaves the inside?

Thanks,

Mike

Yes ! We say that ' warm air rises against gravity' and 'cold air condenses and sinks' these are laymen's descriptions of what we see happening every day !
I don't know of any way using Science / Physics to say it any better so ,while i would change' insulating after ' to 'insulating before/when', - warmer air will always increase 'draft '!

PYRO - Magicly , - Allen L. be safe . keep warm !

I agree with Allen.

The greater the difference in temperature, between the air inside the pipe and the air outside the pipe, the greater its need to 'escape' the pipe. An insulated pipe will keep the exhaust gasses warmer, therefore they should escape quicker, ergo, more draft.

And now for something completely different ... OUCH! STOP THAT! HOLD THIS TINY AD!
