Paleo protein powders?

Do you guys know if whey would be allowed as a paleo protein powder? It's dairy so I guess it isn't "strict paleo" but I expect there isn't much lactose in there, so maybe it's OK? Maybe other protein powders would be better for a paleo diet, perhaps egg or beef based? What do you think?

edit: here's a list that i found of protein pwoders without pesticides (cause im worried about that lol) - Protein powder list the first one is whey, but im sure it would be OK right?
