The multiple thumbnail links at top and bottom of forum pages seem to work well as a promo while remaining tasteful. Maybe the picture selection has something to do with it? Works anyway.
Not so sure about the auto replacement of 3 question marks with the "Flummoxed Face" .....
We are running some of these as an experiment. So far, the three near the top of the page are doing well. the stuff at the very top (in rotation) are doing terrible. As are the ones near the bottom of the threads (in rotation).
That's funny. <g> The ones I noticed were at the bottom - guess I'm just contrary. <g> Maybe when people reach the bottom they're just bent on jamming back into their topic list to get through it before bedtime? At the top they feel more relaxed and on top of it all (!)? Must be a good advertising study in there somewhere.
Anyway, the pics seem more upbeat than the kinda random one liner that appears there a lot.
