So at SGEV we've already established a few tilapia ponds, and we are happy to say we have a couple thousand fish ready for harvest soon.

Have any of you experienced tilapia cultivation at your place?

We've found four benefits so far from incorporating the ponds into our community.
1. Steady supply of organic protein from our own community.
2. Nutrient enriched water for our gardens and soil amendement.
3. A water source to also grow aquaculture on.
4. Entertainment in the form of fishing.

Now we are looking at other ways to produce a food source while also creating community benefits at the same time. Something like small crawfish ponds.

Any Ideas from you folks is welcome!
