Does anyone have a good recommendation for a nitrogen fixing warm season ground cover? clover tends to burnout in an our hot Georgia summers.

If it doesn't need to be perennial, you might want to try Cowpea/Black-eyed Pea, which loves the heat.

Sorrel, a close cousin of clover [not that big leafed green by the same name] does fine in our hot summers. It's a self seeding annual and doesn't get over 6-10" here.

Crimson clover grew well down in south Alabama for us. I am giving it a try here in southern Missouri.
