Is there a fast growing species just like the mexican sunflower that can be used as a mulcher in the Gir forest.
Gir firest is a Dry decidious forest in a tropical monsoon climate and mexican sunflower is not a local species till far far away. Any leads? Facing a similar problem with comfrey.

Would sunflowers, Helianthus, or other plants in the Aster family work for you?

I have read a lot about the comfrey plant whose genus is Symphytum, so maybe there are plants in this genus in your part of the world?
