Hi Don, the quick answer to your question is:

You can't.  

P.s. This is a deliberate design choice (with the feature limited to permies.com staff) in order to drive quality, long term -- aka "perennial" -- discussions and posts.  Cheers!

It doesn't say "you can't"

It says that we mostly don't, except sometimes.  Examples of "sometimes" are in the thread.
