I am trying to figure out what interest there is in a 3 hour long introduction to traditional hide tanning? The class would cover braintanning (fur on and fur off) along with bark tanning. This would not be a hands on class, only an introduction and demonstration of all the steps (much like a cooking show).

1 hour: Brain tan of sheep hides and buckskin
2 hour: Bark tan
3 hour: trouble shooting people's hides they already have (to bring up random real world examples of
how to make things work and options available.)

The class would happen at a homestead in Olympia, WA and would cost $50-$75 sliding scale. I'm thinking an early summer weekend for the date.

Any interest? Questions?

Thanks, Dennis

Not on my to do list, but do you have access to the OlyUrbanAg list and the Evergreen Permie facebook circuit?

I'm not on facebook or that OlyUrbanAg list (first I've heard of it). But I am on OPIUM (olympia punk independent underground music) and got a good response from that.
