This is a great topic to explore. Everyone around this area, including myself, has an open fire pit. It would be nice to find ways to make these more efficient. I have been thinking about it myself after my first burn a couple weeks ago.

In the video, a perlite mixture was used as insulation. Is that the best material to use for insulation outside?
