Hi all. I planted some small blueberry starters outside a few weeks ago. Amended the soil, watered them in well, etc. I read somewhere that they can be planted in cold conditions so I didn't think much of it. Then a late frost happened and 4 out of 5 of them lost all of their leaves. (I didn't cover them - argh!)
My question - Are they toast? Or is it possible they can start over again if the
roots are intact? My one hope there is that I mulched them all in under a thick layer of
straw. However, I don't want to keep tending them only to find in a couple of months that they've gone to that big
compost bin in the sky.
Thanks in advance for any insights!
