For the RMH greenhouse workshop I remember a call was placed to a local jiffy lube.  What was asked for?  What size of barrel did we end up with?

Also, I remember the barrel was wrapped with newspaper and clay - sorta like paper mache.  And then a fire was started inside the barrel.  I remember that the idea was to burn all of the paint off completely, and to have the paint smoke stay close to get fully burned so that what goes into the air is far cleaner.  How much paper and clay is used?  And is that just one the outside?

120 lb grease can.

the clay paper needs to be at min one inch thick.

no but a thirty gal drum is one of the best for an 8 inch system. if you can get 30's i would hang onto them.

Any idea what the dimensions are for a 120 lb grease can?  (so I can work it into my drawings and buy the appropriate materials)

15 inches across and 30 inches tall. +~- an inch. the stove is hot so i aint going to run a tape on it to be exact.
