free rocket mass heater - SE Wisconsin

Had fun with this project but it's july and while I will be wishing in December that I didn't, I am giving away my rocket mass heater project to the first person who shows up on my doorstep for it. There is so much to do to build one of these that to even experiment with one is a huge undertaking in finding materials and doing it.

The core is done, the burn chamber was temporary and will need to be finished as well as the entire exhaust. I used new high temp fire brick and alsey mortar for the core, the riser is a very well insulated triple wall stainless tube with perlite clay mix and stainless outer barrel. Had the barrel lid to over 800 degrees this winter with a temporary burn chamber. 6" dia riser and a 4.75x5.75 tunnel. Was planning on turning it into a hydronic type system but now that it's halfway done it doesn't seem practical for my lifestyle.

As you can see it's mounted on a chassis and I have a lift that should make it easy enough to put it at least halfway into the back of a pick up truck.
