In this video, a woman from Ottawa, Canada, shares her story on how she discovered her life passion, wild edible and medicinal plants, and how we're literally surrounded by an amazing abundance, even in urban areas.

It also shows how taking a step to change to way you live can take you in unexpected directions. It's all about taking that first step!

My herbalist mentor and I took our wives shopping at a local fancy cooking utensil store recently. We dropped them off and then went to park. We found3 or 4 medicinal plants and a couple of edibles in the 1/2 block walk to the store. 99% of the area was concrete, asphalt and building.

AMAZING.

Our 1.6 acres has over 20 medicinal and edible plants growing NATURALLY. I have imported many, many more so I now have over 60 medicinal plants, some of which also produce food as well.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL THOUGH!!! There are LOTS of plants out there that are HARMFUL that also look like what we are looking for. BE ABSOLUTELY SURE OF THE IDENTIFICATION IF YOU ARE WILDCRAFTING.

Cats say "meow" because they think that is what people sound like. This tiny ad told me so:
