I love spiders and never kill them. just recently, there has been news of venomous spiders abiding in the uk and have been known to give nasty bites.

But, I am not accustomed to biting types.

what is the best first aid advice for venomous spider bites?

Hi, Fiona...I have used an Echinacea tincture and fresh leaf poltice successfully on a brown recluse bite but have never been bit by the black widows that we frequently see and I don't have a plan...it would be good to have something on hand for a more dangerous venom...maybe someone else can help.

Use a plantain poultice to extract the venom. Echinacea internally will help stop the cell degeneration process. There are other herbs to use but I cannot recall them at this time.
