Companion plants for sweet potatoes?

Do you know which companion plants to use to keep sweet potatoes bugs away?

For companion planting Marigolds are considered a good companion ...... and Carrots, Beetroot and Potato are considered bad companions. I have read that Cassava is a good companion too .... but not sure if you have that.
