My fiancee and I are traveling to Europe this summer. We are wondering what are some cool places to visit while we are there.

We are both farmers, and would love to visit some places that are doing permaculture on a commercial scale.

If you have any suggestions of what we should check out while in Europe, please let us know.

Martin Crawfords forest garden in Devon, UK

Snowy, cold winters w 6 hours of daylight and 18 hours of utter darkness in january.
Wet, windy, sunny summers w 18 hours of daylight and 6 hours of twilight in july.

January avg -18 ºC, (-0.4 ºF), min -34.6 ºC (-30.28 ºF) -> 44mm/1.7" snow
July avg 23.4 ºC (74.1 ºF), max 35 ºC (95 ºF) -> 72mm/2.8" rain
Yearly: 646mm/25.4"

I know someone who went to Tamera ecovillage in Portugal and was quite impressed. They seem to have done a lot of work on invisible structures as well as the land itself….

Cool, I'll look into all of these places and hopefully fit in as many as we can. Definitely visiting the Sepp's place in Austria.

While not being farming- related, I would highly suggest to visit Meteora, Greece.
One of the most beautiful and impressive scenes are there I would say.
