Game Plan: Help finish and fabricate an Earthship already under construction in Futurity Colorado near Buena Vista. Pounding tires for the addition while mining dirt for tires, stuccoing, tile, brick, aquaculture, permaculture, and greenhouse will be primary focus. Solar oven, propane grill and gas stove on site.
Food be provided. Sleep in the house on flagstone floor or sleep in a hammock or tent camp during your visit. Trying to find beds and furniture.
Materials good to bring, but not necessary: Gloves, safety glasses and/or sunglasses, sunscreen, sun hat. Amenities to bring: great attitude sleeping bag, pad, clothes you don't mind ruining and personal items.
Location: Futurity Colorado is near the end of County Road 185C near Buena Vista. The location is 1.5 miles southeast from there. Beyond Futurity (last 1 miles) 4x4 is required if driving or walk or your me your chauffeur or bicycle . If flying can pick up in Denver but need a huge heads up. or Bus ride to Buena Vista easy pickup. Weather: It is nice and sunny June to October, but given the altitude you can bet on cold nights and morning dew. Chances of rain showers are random, but happens. Town of Buena Vista, Colorado is 20 miles away.
Languages spoken

English and a little Spanish.

Accommodation

Live in an Earthship that is fully enclosed. Bring sleeping bags tents and pad for it has flagstone floors. Has electricity. No running water at the moment. Working on that, but bathroom is complete just have to use solar shower camp style shower bag.
What else ...

You will get knowledge of all aspects of building an Earthship. You will get satisfaction of working for better future of self sustaining off grid home that any one can build. Come and enjoy life away from 30 year mortgages and self reliance lifestyle. Working on building a food forest, but i have not experience. I hope working here you will be inspired to build your own or stay on for long run. In spring, summer, fall months we have white water rafting, fishing, hiking, 4 wheeling, boating etc. Winter plenty of ski resort small drive away. Plus have multiple hot springs all year round.

I am very interested in learning Earth ship design and building! Have you heard of WOFATI? I was in school for interior design and I want to build a wofati or earth ship for experience whether I get to stay or not. I have three daughters that home school and we live in a motorhome. Do you have room for motorhome?

The motor home will not fit on top of property but on the bottom I have a bunch of vehicles that one can park, I suppose. You would have to come up and look first. Still have a lot of snow at the moment. Be heading up in a few weeks to check it out if interested to go with me.
